Lancaster resident gets key role at Troy & Banks of Buffalo

Troy & Banks announced that Chanelle Ortez, a Lancaster native and current resident, has joined the company as director of operations. Bringing over 10 years of operations security intelligence experience to the role, Ortez will be involved in a variety of tasks at Troy & Banks, including research, audit analysis, employee relations and office administration.

Before joining Troy & Banks, Ortez was assistant director at Community Services for Every1, a social services organization in Buffalo, where she managed hiring; oversaw compliance and regulatory matters; and conducted staff training and development.

Ortez is an intelligence analyst with the U.S. Army National Guard in which she’s heavily involved in research regarding national threats, including known and suspected terrorist groups and individuals.

Ortez holds a master’s degree in criminal justice from SUNY Buffalo State and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Park University. She is an assistant professor at Medaille College and Bryant & Stratton, where she teaches criminal justice courses on law enforcement, criminal investigations and constitutional law.

“I am confident Chanelle will be a valuable asset to Troy & Banks as we continue expanding our services regionally and nationally,” said Tom Ranallo, president of Troy & Banks. “Chanelle’s extensive military experience and involvement with an array of investigative matters over the years makes her the perfect addition to our growing team.”
