Energy and telecom consulting firm has saved clients over $100 million
BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Metropolitan Opera has selected Troy & Banks to conduct a utility and telecommunications billing audit for its facilities.
Troy & Banks will review the Metropolitan Opera’s complex utility and phone bills going back up to six years. The audits will include a review of gas, electric, and phone bills. Tom Ranallo, President of Troy & Banks, Inc., states that most of these billing mistakes include errors in utility and telecommunication rates, tariffs, and service options. Ranallo states, “Most in-house auditors do not have the time or expertise to carefully review these complex billing issues.”
Under the terms of the contract, Troy & Banks will undertake a systematic review of utility invoices to identify and compute potential billing errors or overpayments made that can be recovered from the appropriate utility provider.
“As energy and telecommunications costs skyrocket, our company helps municipalities and organizations reduce their operating costs by finding cost savings solutions and billing discrepancies,” said Ranallo. “We have already saved over $100 million for our clients. We have expanded our core business of auditing utility and telecommunications bills to include energy and telecom expense management solutions.”
“It is an honor to welcome The Metropolitan Opera as a Troy & Banks’ client,” said Ranallo. “We are excited about the opportunity to help them reduce utility costs and consumption.”
