Troy & Banks to Audit Empire State Development Corporation’s and Buffalo Niagara Partnership’s Utility and Telephone Accounts in Search of Billing Errors

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC), located at 633 Third Ave. in New York City, and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, located at 665 Main St. in Buffalo, have both become the newest clients of Troy & Banks, Inc. Troy & Banks will audit both ESDC’s utility and telephone accounts and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership’s telephone accounts for possible mistakes due to utility and telecommunication billing errors.

ESDC and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership both benefit Western New York businesses. ESDC is New York’s lead economic development agency, encouraging economic investment by helping to start up companies in New York and assisting businesses in the expansion of existing operations, retaining and enlarging their work force, and helping them to compete domestically and internationally. ESDC has co-headquarters in Buffalo, Albany and New York City, in addition to 18 locations around the world.

The Buffalo Niagara Partnership includes almost 2,500 member businesses and is one of the largest business associations in Western New York. Their mission is to help businesses grow while improving the economic climate in the region.

Troy & Banks will review both organizations’ utility and/or telecommunication records, dating back to six years, to reclaim money from possible billing errors. Once Troy & Banks collects the billing information from the ESDC and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, Troy & Banks will order the history of their service records. If the audits show they were overcharged, ESD and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership will receive a refund from their utility and/or telecommunications companies.

“Troy & Banks is excited to work with these two fine organizations that help and support businesses in the Western New York region and all of New York State,” states Tom Ranallo, President of Troy & Banks.
