Company audits energy bills and helps clients manage their electric & gas energy needs

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Troy & Banks Inc., a national leader in energy and telecom consulting and auditing for businesses and government agencies, has just completed a move to its new corporate office at 2216 Kensington Avenue in Buffalo. The company had been located at 4536 Main Street in Amherst.

Tom Ranallo, President of Troy & Banks, Inc., bought what used to be an old warehouse and completely renovated the building, putting in a central workstation for sales representatives and auditors, executive offices, a conference room, and a full-service kitchen. According to Ranallo, “This new work environment will enable us to better serve the needs of our clients and provide much-needed space for our growing company.”

Tom Ranallo is also making sure that the new office embraces changing philosophies in energy. “As a leader is energy consulting, we feel it is important to lead by example,” Ranallo said. “We know that we must do our part to protect the earth’s future by promoting renewable forms of energy.” To that end, Ranallo buys all of the company’s power from green-energy sources. He has instituted a company-wide recycling program and even installed an energy-efficient heating system, which can be pre-set to heat or cool the building only during the times when people are actually in the office.

Houghton College Engages Troy & Banks

Company audits energy bills and helps clients manage their electric & gas energy needs

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Troy & Banks Inc., a national leader in energy and telecom consulting and auditing for businesses and government agencies, has been engaged by Houghton College to audit its utility bills and to advise on the purchase of energy.

The goal of the contract is to make certain that Houghton College is being billed accurately throughout the year and to assist in securing the energy rates/products that best fit the company’s needs.

Tom Ranallo, President of Troy & Banks, said, “Our firm is dedicated to assisting Houghton College in navigating the ever-changing energy markets. We will help them implement energy risk management strategies that fit their objectives.”

Troy & Banks recently expanded its core business of auditing utility and telecommunications bills to include offering suggestions for energy-service companies (ESCOs) and offering curtailment programs to businesses.

Troy & Banks has accounts nationwide, as well as throughout New York State.  The consulting firm works with thousands of companies on a yearly basis, charging clients only if it produces a refund or savings.  Refunds yielded over the years have usually been dependent on the size of the company or municipality.  “We’ve helped businesses get refunds in the amount of $20.00 to millions of dollars,” Ranallo said.

Years of aggressive marketing in the New York metro area have resulted in several “lucrative” contracts with prominent Manhattan clients, including The Metropolitan Opera, Lincoln Center Theater, New York Stock Exchange, American Stock Exchange, NBC Universal, Greater New York Hospital Association, and Mount Sinai Medical Center.
